Orlando, Florida

Thousand Trails - Orlando
Clermont, Florida

We arrived in Orlando to do what I seem to do all the time in Orlando...get ready to fly or travel home. Last March we arrived and I flew home to welcome Miss Gracie Belle (wow, that was almost a year ago); flew back only to pack up and leave for home the next day so we could oversee the building of our house (and that seems like it's been longer than a year--go figure!)  This time I flew home to help watch the girls while Peter and Lindsay moved into Peter's grandfather's house which they bought and fixed up.  Another great job -- he can really create a beautiful house as well as some beautiful children!

So I went home and had a sleepover with Addie and Ella.  Ella gets so excited about sleeping over she starts very early with "Can we go to bed now?"  Needless to say, when bedtime does come around, there are no complaints from her.  She loves "her" bed at Noni's house.

Addie has an interesting game that she plays...everything gets lined up.  I asked why, but never got an answer!

I finally managed to get over to Bec and Kelly's "Brown Bag and Bagels" in Hyannis.  They've fixed up the place so nicely and had a lot of customers come in during our visit.  I left with a bagful (brown bag, of course) of bagels and some specialty cream cheese mixtures and shared with Peter and family.  Absolutely delicious!  Good work ladies, and I hope you continued success!!

While I was gone, Ken had some fun with his new Nikon camera...getting some great pictures of the very early morning "balloons" soaring over the campground.

And then he met up with some more sand cranes that are quite common in this part of Florida.  They have become so used to people...they stand 3 to 4 feet high and just stare at you.  Talk about "red eye"?

And when he wasn't making friends with birds, he was just experimenting with the new camera.  Got some good shots too.

After I had returned to Florida, we had a couple of beautiful days enjoyed by the pool.  Next stop is a couple of weeks at Peace River in Wauchula.  It's too bad we don't have the kayaks...Ken's shoulder is steadily getting better, but there's no way he could have gotten the yaks on and off the car; so we left them home.  Hopefully we will return to the golf course soon though.  Just have to wait and see.

Hi! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?

I'm getting sick and tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers
and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
